Does Chevy Chase Asset Management LLC have a minimum account size?

We provide financial planning and advice to clients with portfolios of any size. Our portfolio management services and our investment approach benefit most effectively clients with accounts in excess of $500,000.

I live thousands of miles away from your office. Can I still do business with you?

We have clients across the U.S., so that is not an issue.

Do you offer financial planning advice? Will you help me with my taxes or estate planning?

There are many aspects to the investment profession, and CCAM's partners have worked hard to provide expertise in many planning areas. We endeavor to provide guidance that is comprehensive in its approach, and we often refer clients to other professionals for further services. It is our mission to achieve complete and expert services for our clients through our own efforts or by referrals to highly-regarded professionals in complementary fields.

How often will I receive statements?

Our clients receive monthly statements from their respective custodians (TD Ameritrade, Fidelity Investments, etc.).

Can I have duplicate statements sent to my accountant?

Yes, we can arrange for the custodian to mail additional statements to others.

Can I see my account balance and transactions on the internet?

Yes, you can view your accounts online through the custodians' client web access.

How do I pay for your services?

We charge a fee that is a percentage charged on the value of assets under our management. The fee is automatically deducted from your account on a quarterly basis. All of our performance reporting reflects net performance after all fees are deducted.

Are the fees I pay for your services tax deductible?

In some cases, fee are deductible. Please consult your tax advisor for specific advice for your situation.

Where will my assets be held?

Our clients may choose any custodian that will provide trading access for Chevy Chase Asset Management. Some well-known custodians include TD Ameritrade, Fidelity Investments and Schwab.

I have multiple accounts with different brokers. Can you help with all of them?

Through the planning process with us, we will develop a plan to consolidate your accounts efficiently and prudently. We manage your assets with a focus on integrating your investment objective across all of your account types and locations.
